About COFA

MGM has started MGM College of Fine Art from the academic year 2003-04 and it is situated in MGM'S nature-friendly campus at N-6, CIDCO, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.

The diploma courses are affiliated to Director of Art, Mumbai (Govt.of Maharashtra.) And degree courses are affiliated to Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar  Marathwada University Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.

This Institute offers Diploma & Degree courses in Fine Art, including Foundation, Interior Design, Pottery and Ceramic, Applied Art, & B.F.A Drawing and Painting.

The core of the Institute:

There are core faculty members on the roll of the Institute, The Institute has already had the benefit of visiting faculty members from reputed arts college.  Who have been conducting annual workshops at the institute. Several eminent artists / teachers from within India have also been teaching with demonstrations / slide lectures to the students on various foundation and specialization level subjects.

Besides, a panel of experts who are well known  artists from Mumbai,Pune  like Murli Lahoti ,Suhas Bahulkar , Kashinath Salve, D.B.Bele, Mahesh Lad, Achyut Palav sir, Sanjay Sable sir,  have been offering their valuable advice to the academic programmers’ of the Institute of Fine Arts.

The students who are trained in Art and Design at the institute are given exposure to develop sufficient competency to enter the competitive professional field. This education would enhance them for a job opportunity and placement in the related area in the wider world. The Institute will help and promote them as they leave its portals.

Extra Curricular Activities:

Fine Art College organizes Cultural and Sports activities, also guest Lectures, Demonstrations, Exhibitions, Seminars and Sport activities for the benefit of the students. It is very heartening to say that our creative students have immense talent in other cultural activities as well. The students of BFA & Diploma have won many individual prizes and the overall shield for their exuberant performance in Poster Making and Group Dance in the intercollege festivals. Congratulations to all of them.
